DAY 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara
Distance: 130 km
Travel Time: 2.5 hrs

  • Pick-up from Arusha and transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.

  • We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Afterward, head into the Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive.

  • The park boasts a wide variety of animals, including Africa’s largest concentration of elephants. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of flamingos attracted by the lake’s algae.

  • Dinner and overnight stay at the park.

DAY 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti Plains
Distance: 205 km
Travel Time: 6 hrs

  • After breakfast, depart towards Serengeti National Park, traveling through the highland farmlands of Karatu and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

  • Arrive in time for lunch and head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in Serengeti, featuring the Seronera River that attracts a variety of wildlife.

  • Afternoon game drive in Serengeti.

  • Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area.

DAY 3: Serengeti Plains

  • Optional Activity: Hot Air Balloon Safari (available at supplementary cost by pre-arrangement).

  • After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive, with lunch at the lodge.

  • Follow the Kopjes Circuit, often attracting lions and large cobras.

  • Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area, as per the requested accommodation type.

DAY 4: Serengeti Plains

  • After breakfast, enjoy another full-day game drive along the Sogore River Circuit, known for sightings of lions, Thomson gazelle, topi, ostrich, and cheetahs.

  • Visit the Seronera Visitor’s Centre, which offers wildlife displays and a gift shop. Enjoy a picnic lunch under the giant acacia trees.

  • Dinner and overnight in the Seronera area.

DAY 5: Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Crater
Distance: 145 km
Travel Time: 4 hrs

  • After breakfast, depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stopover at Olduvai Gorge. This area is historically significant as the site where Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, key links in human evolution.

  • Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and spend the afternoon at leisure.

  • Dinner and overnight on the crater rim (no accommodation available inside the crater).

DAY 6: Ngorongoro Crater

  • After breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.

  • The crater is one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa, home to around 30,000 animals, including Tanzania’s remaining black rhinos, as well as wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and elusive leopards.

  • Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

  • Dinner and overnight at the crater rim.

DAY 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park
Distance: 155 km
Travel Time: 3.5 hrs

  • The park is home to three rare species: Greater Kudu, Fringed-eared Oryx, and Ashy Starlings.

  • After a picnic lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive.

  • Dinner and overnight in the Tarangire National Park area.

DAY 8: Tarangire National Park – Arusha
Distance: 120 km
Travel Time: 2 hrs

  • Early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at the lodge.
